Description If you love to fav n' run, here's your chance!
I strongly encourage you to fav this piece without the burden of commenting, although comments are most welcome! Give it a fav at least to make the little girl and the Moon happy!

- Hey, Moon. - she said.
- Hey... - replied Moon.
- Why won't you come closer?
- No, you come closer - can you imagine the view from here? - said Moon dreamily.
- Yup. Been there. I'm there every night. In my dreams... - she said with a big smile.

And Moon smiled.
But he didn't come over.
- But I'm too old to move. - said Moon with sadness.
- No problem - I'll come up to you and we'll play again and again!...

And Moon smiled even more...

About the contest entry:
This is a dream about a dream; I dream of having a child, but that's impossible for a couple of reasons, and she dreams of playing with the moon, or generally, for her imagination to expand into reality (and that's also one of my own dreams).

At least I have some small imaginative leftovers from my childhood to try and fulfill my dreams on my own...

This is a dynamic piece that conveys a sense of anticipation and discovery. I really like it!
I am doing a teaching series on the anticipation of Christmas and I would like your permission to use this as a graphic to convey the ideas of the teaching series through the image of a young child with great anticipations - Awaiting! Β Would you mind giving me permission? Using this doesn't generate any revenue or income. I teach to inspire and encourage.

Great composition! I would only suggest to put the little girl a little bit more on the right (for the rule of thirds). Actually, I think she is a bit too near of the center.

Another suggestion would be to add some light coming from the dore. Actualli, it is so dark that we can barely see it is open. Also this little add on would add some mystery to the piece and a good level of naration too.

For the colors, I would think you can make the general ambiance darker and let just some light spots in some places to lead the viewer's eye. For example, the rimlight around the little girl, the window's light on the wall, etc.

Anyway, it is just some suggestions, I don't whant to botter you.

Yeah, now that I look at it, I think you're right. Though I tried to make the composition work by guiding the eye with light and details, instead of the rule of thirds, now I think it wasn't the best idea.

And that's also why I didn't want to add light to the door, it would take the attention away from the focus area (which is the window).

And indeed, the ambience is strong, but I wanted to give the scene the impression of the eye getting used to the darkness. That, plus the strong moonlight, makes sense, I think!

Anyway, thank you for the suggestions.

Also, it was almost three years ago, nowadays I'd do it a bit differently.

Well, if I can help you on anything, just ask! I saw that you do some 3D. I'm pretty good in photoreal, so, if you have questions about it...

I have the attitude of learning everything the hard way (more experience! ), so I probably won't ask.
But thanks anyway!

You've just made me a very happy man. Thank you.

I'm also a composer, and I can say with all confidence, that your song doesn't sound like an amateur composed it. It was beautiful. Lovely atmosphere, interesting throughout the whole composition, with a nice buildup at the end.

Well done!

And thank you again!

I draw in Paint Tool SAI, and use its linework tools, including the line tool.
It'd look like something from Picasso if I'd draw them freehand (extremely shakey hands).
