Yup, I'm back at it with experimental hairstyles. In a weird way, this one is very much like Tasha's current one, but without that 80's style "flip" in the front.Opinions desired (on the hair. My art sucks this go round.
) And so you know, the bottom left was supposed to be flipping the hair a bit with a quick turn of the head. I think I missed some of what was needed to show the motion...- Polecat

No, you got her head rotation correct on the hair flip. All around, not just her front bang.
It also drapes correctly when she leans forward.

well im afrid thats what my mind jumps strait to when I see her, so mission failed im afriad (Press continue? Yes/No)
If you really want to reinvent her look then I say turn to a REALLY obsurce reference from like a cartoon or anime, peronally Im working on a character that has hair based on Tomoyo from Ruroni Kenshin and practicly know one will even notice.

I'm trying to avoid most references in general, and pull inspiration from a few, but not the exact look from ANY. And make the hair more "flat" and straight...

hmmm well ideas come from everywhere, nothings trully original anymore just twisted so it takes on a new life, so I say dont be afriad of using references to the work even if it means taking tiny bits from other characters. that character im working on, her hair will be like Tomoyos but it will be shorter and maybe have a few other things thrown in to make it feel new again
