Her eyes were hazel .. her nose was slightly curled
We spent a lonely night at the Memory Motel
It's on the ocean .. I guess you know it well
It took a starry night to steal my breath away
Down on the water front .. her hair all drenched in spray

Hannah baby was a honey of a girl
Her eyes were hazel .. her teeth were slightly curved
She took my guitar and she began to play
She sang a song to me .. stuck right in my brain

This is a new portrait. It's been a while since I've been able to say that. Time simply has not opened decent space for me to play creatively for many months.

Something I have been working on when time allows a brief play period is creating a 3D character based upon this 2D portrait by a friend. [link]

Last night I felt like I was getting close to where I ought to be with Cilantra. After a few extra tweaks I adjusted the camera, set up a new light mix and set the render in motion. I left the computer at that point to attend to pressing matters and did not return for several hours. I had actually forgotten there was a render waiting for me when I turned the monitor back on.

This is the portrait, minus Photoshop finishing, that greeted me when the screen sparked up. Not Cilantra, no, although she's in there somewhere. Someone else had slipped into my creative process last night to surface from my collective experience and she gave me quite a stir.

We sat there staring at each other for a long while mutually enchanted. I might still be sitting there lost like a kid in a maze had not those words you're just a memory rose in my awareness. Yeah, one last dance for hearts of stone.

The creative process is a wild journey of self exploration sometimes. I hope it is the same for you!
