This is dedicated to the wonderful group AND to its Founder
I've been working in this group, it seems since nearly it's beginning- it seems a long time, and it really is a great group, and I've known Jenna a long time on dA, and she's been a good friend, not to mention supportive of The Shelter Project, too.

I am wishing her the best for the holidays and much success during the new year!

This is Zorra and it is the female version of the Spanish word Zorro meaning "Mask" and she was named that for the obvious physical looking mask around her eyes, but also because of all of our cats, her history is the one most shrouded in mystery!

This is an effort to do 2 things:

This will round out a much nicer collection of Holiday Pet images to be available for Holiday Animal Greeting Cards for NEXT Year...
as I had NO idea I would get what orders I DID get, this year, and I felt unprepared with the images I had, both in the area of holiday animals and regular holiday images to be honest!
[even if it was nice, that the images I had were wanted anyway... ]

And in a GREATER effort to help support The South Coast Humane Society through The Shelter Project by having a nicer variety in general.

We adopted Zorra right about the same time as we adopted Herbie: [link] . We got her the day before Herbie, on April 15, 2009.
But the vet said, while she seemed to be a young cat, her teeth and gums had problems, so he put her age then at between 2 and 7. So she could be anywhere from 4-9. Don't know. Mystery.

She was very ill at the time, skinny, patchy baldness around the neck head, ears, and a severe case of ear mites, which we treated repeatedly, and of course she thought we were trying to torture her, which was just horrible for all of us.

So was not a very social cat for a long while, but would come to me if I came into the room where she was... but NOWADAYS...
well, she has changed drastically these days. She is much healthier, and she is everyone's lap cat, and has the loudest pur of any of them, even if she is the smallest cat, barely 6 pounds, tinier than 6 pound Sha-Sha: [link]

She even sat in my dad's lap this past Summer when my parents visited, and he doesn't even really like cats.
[That was kind of funny! ]
