Mr.L would be more badass if only they would not make his evil and so easy manipulated.
Mr.L instead of evil side of Luigy who want to take over the world, should be rather like more cool and brave alter ego of Luigy ready to show up in importand moments.
Example:
Bowser captured Peach and catch Mario into trap, Yoshi try to help but not can beat Bowser and Kammy Koppa alown.
Mario say: Luigy, please help me.
But Luigy is terryfied.
Bowser: Whats the matter, do little green boy is scared.
And when Bowser slowly come to Luigy to crush him, somethink break in Luigy he turn into Mr.L
Mr.L: Who do you call green boy you fat ass.
Mr.L jump very high, and when Bowser think he run away, a giant Luigy robotic head crash into the castle, shot salve of missiles making havoc around, than Luigy jump off, catch princess and take to his robot, than shot fire ball to free Mario from trap and they together escape in his robot when castle falling apart with Bowser in it.
Mr.L: Still thinking I m greeny boy ?
And than Mr.L turn into Luigy.
Luigy: What happened ? ( said in confusion ).
Peach: You saved us ( Peach kiss Luigy )
happy ending after epic fighting scene, lol.
