Description Oh Axel, what're you doing with your shirt all open like that?

I have owed my half of this trade to for goodness knows how long-- she finished her half a LONG time ago and I've been a terrible person and procrastinated with this way too long. But since she had a really cruddy day today, I was inspired... and here he is, all done for her to see when she wakes up.

I HOPE YOU LIKE HIM MY DARLING!! And I hope he can continue being the Definitive Axel for you, in spite of my awful coloring and lateness.

INDEED WE DO. :3 I actually really liked the gloves/open shirt combo too. The only thing to improve those gloves would be to make them fingerless. Ohhhh yeaaaaah.

Thank you! I'm glad you do, I actually wasn't AMAZINGLY pleased with the end result of this. Pleased enough, but I don't think it's a really stunning one. I think I might be getting tired of profiles, even though I apparently can't stop drawing them.

Oh gosh, he's a bit of a looks twin for an old character of mine. Like the simple colours, the patterns at the side and the way you coloured his shirt. I have a bit of crit, though: I think his neck is a little awkward though; obviously men typically have thicker necks than women in illustrations, but the nexk here seems to flow out a bit too much joining the shoulders and could maybe do with being more defined (does that make ANY kind of sense?)

Really? You like the shirt coloring? I didn't like any of the coloring to a huge degree, so thank you.

The neck... it's tough to really define it when it's covered by all the hair. The original sketch, I think had a bit of a line between the nape-of-the-neck ponytail and the back of the neck, but the way I sketch it's sometimes hard to tell one line from another when they're really close together, so I probably missed it while I was inking.

I thought it was probably a hair thing - the hair isn't quite there to cover the nexk line up, but it's kind of crossing over it, so it's an easy definition to miss. Short haired characters are a bit harder as far as necks are concerned because you HAVE to define it really properly.

Oooh nice. I envy people that can make guys look "pretty" and manly at the same time. I really like how you handled his shirt; it seems to be flowing off his frame. XD I think I've said this before but they way you use yellow for lighting is really really pretty.

Ah, thanks so much! I draw too many pretty men for my own good... sometimes I draw manly ones, but honestly, I prefer the pretty! (Although I'm also quite fond of the ones that straddle that line you're talking about. ) And thanks about the yellow... sometimes I worry I'm making it too yellow, or that I haven't clearly delineated the shaded areas enough. I'm glad you like how it turned out.

Hell YEAH AXEL!! Glad you like him and his fanservice. Funny you should say that thing about "care drawing details", though... I used a pretty broad pen this time around and was a bit fast and loose with the inking, terribly enough. -__- If it comes across looking like I took care with the details, it must just be a happy coincidence.

Sweet, thanks! Little bit of both worlds. *Dwenda 's pictures of him tend to look a liiiittle more clean-cut than this one (which is unusual for me... I'm ALL about the clean-cut look myself), but he does tend to walk the balance quite nicely.
