Is this the one? [link] I was definitely thinking a lot of Renaissance-era sketches when I did this, so I'm glad it made you think of that! Renaissance angels yummmm. :3

this reminds me alot of the old sketches that Renaissance artists used to do before a painting, or carve marble. the downward angle of the head is always difficult, but here, i think you really got it here. I would say it is indeed Zarael for only one reason; he looks very much like the old religious figures in old school paintings. Like hes looking down on a wayward humanity with indifference.
Very well done ^^

gljlgflnb THERE IS NOT ENOUGH KEYBOARD SMASH TO DESCRIBE MY FEELINGS ON THIS.
He just looks so. Damn. Good. You draw this style soso well D: His nooose is a thing of beauty and his eyes are just amazing. I love the heavy lids. I can imagine him looking down at Trean as she sleeps (sleeps off AWESOME SEX, I mean. ) And. Yeah. LOVE.

Have you ever tried to draw hair another way?

Great work! I like tose pencil soft shades!
Actually I took him for Zarael, as he is!
Zarael and Farael look quite similar, being related, but since you shaded a lot his skin, hair look really light-coloured, so he's definitely Zarael! ^^
And hail Nadezhda's tutorial!!!^^

This is just lovely.
It reminds me in some of the old sketches of the really big artists like Michelangelo or Leonardo da Vinci... because you made him loos so real and still so angel-like innocent and perfect.

Beautiful. Very delicate. Puts me in mind of a marble Grecian statue.

Baw, thanks.
For this one, I actually used =NadezhdaVasile 's tutorial for applying texture: [link] But normally I do it differently. It's VERY simple, though, no matter which way you do it. When I apply texture, I put the sketch on its own Multiply layer with the texture copy-pasted underneath, put a normal layer on top of the texture but under the sketch and do some messing around with a rounded brush and a light color on about half opacity, and then colorize the layer with the sketch on. Super, super simple, and whichever way you decide to do it, it'll give a nearly identical effect.

I thought it was Farael too! I'm not familar with the toher artist's stuff, but this looks very yours (it's the nose) so I don't think it looks like anyone else's in this instance.
