Description This is some art based on what I’ve been feeling this week. My main goal this year has been to improve on weaknesses I see in my art, and to get closer to the level of artists that I look up to. It’s been tough because work has been sapping my energy lately. Yesterday I felt really burned out, and I had various things happen at once to make me feel like I was falling behind. I’m probably not, but it was a feeling I had trouble shaking off.

But I’m doing my best to stay determined, and to ignore those encroaching feelings of doubt. I may realize some day soon that I’ve walked a whole mile without feeling like I’ve taken a single step. It’s happened before.

Very powerful, Tem :3

It's good to stay positive with what we want to approach in life.
If you have troubles energy wise, it's also good to consider looking at your diet too :3
Fruits, vegetables, plenty of water... all play into role :3

I could definitely use more veggies in my diet haha, but I have been exercising more which has been helping me overall!

Thank you!

Its interesting no matter how many people tell you that they appreciate your work, you still feel your work is antiquate and sub-par. That is the branding of a true artist. It is both a gift and a curse. Others my love your work, you notice your imperfections. And you improve on them, crafting from your mistakes only to make new ones on your next projects. There is no such thing as perfect art or literature. By stubbing you send yourself a mile forward.
(Also I love the piece and your work in general)

Temiree, don't shit on yourself. In just these past few months you have improved more as an artist than anybody else I've seen on this site, considering the amount of people I watch on here, that is saying quite a bit. You're one of the artists that got me started here on deviantART and you've still remained one of my favorites. I and many others look up to you greatly.

That's one determined face, I have trouble trying to draw this kind of feeling right. It sometimes has to come directly out of your true feelings, don't you agree?

I do have this kind of feeling like a lot! it's pretty unhealthy and of course, I get the feeling of my energy completely dry out after work, but I'm happy enough that I didn't just give up, you are right about staying determined. I'm  not so good with it sometimes, that I mostly talk to my family and friends to boost my energy. Care to chat about it via note? Sometimes I want to know how people overcome all those gloomy situation. If you're too busy it's totally fine.

You are doing incredibly amazing, man.

This is one of the best drawings you have done so far - except it seems like I keep on saying that. Oh well, it'll always be true.
