"Nnno." Xander says slowly; "Yesterday you were a Defender and today you want to hire me to kill somebody? I can smell the entrapment a mile away."
"I'm serious." Rebecca says as she stands to defiantly face him.
"I'm sure you are." Xander tells her; "But you might feel different tomorrow. I'm sure your Defender buddies will find the guy soon enough."
Rebecca looks down in shame at Xander's comment. Ariel, who overheard part of the conversation asks; "You didn't tell anyone did you?"
"No." Rebecca says meekly. "You two are the only ones that know what happened."
"Oh honey, you've got to tell someone." Ariel insists; "That's how most rapists get away with it, they don't get reported."
"I just don't want to go through that again." Rebecca tells them; "When the team doctor was giving me those injections he said they were vitamins. And even though he admitted what he did to me and plead guilty, there's STILL people that tell me that I must have known what was going on. I was fifteen for fucks sake, and he was the team doctor, but supposedly it was still my fault. I just don't want to go through that 'blame the victim' shit again."
After a few moments of silence; "Don't become the Green Guardian." Xander insists.
Looking at him in surprise; "What's that supposed to mean?" Rebecca asks.
"Don't fixate on this guy." Xander explains; "Hector fixated on me, blamed me for his buddy's death. He did it long enough it drove him over the edge and he ended up throwing his entire career away trying to frame me. Don't fixate on this guy, cause if you do it'll eventually drive you over the edge and you'll end up doing something stupid. Like hiring a hitman."
Sullenly; "I just...want to stop being the victim all the time." Rebecca says meekly.
"Then stand up for yourself, tell one of the Defenders what happened. Let them make it right, and make those guys pay for what they did." Ariel insists. "If you want I can go with you; as an eye witness."
"You'd do that?" Rebecca asks.
"Of course honey!" Ariel assures her; "Like I said earlier; us girls have to stick together."
