There has been several requests for more of my earlier Xena work. These Xena pieces were done for Topps comics "Xena: The Warrior Princess" series.This was all acrylic.
Can anyone spot the hidden tree graffiti?

Nice painting of Xena. Β It has a beautiful watercolor feel to it. Β Love the power and strength you've shown in Xena's strong arms and legs as she struggles and strains to get free of the entangling branches.
I really like how you've depicted a remote and gloomy forest of enchantment. Β This would've made for a great scene in the series.
Ah, yes... Β the tree on the left, at about the same level of Xena'sΒ chakram, carved into the bark is a heart with what appears to be "X+G" inside the heart... Β "Xena + Gabrielle?"

I used to love this show when I was a kid. This is a lovely painting. It reminds me of those books that had all the Conan the barbarian paintings in them. Wish I could remember what they were called.

I watched Xena: The Warrior Princess series alongside with Hercules: The LegendaryΒ Journeys. I love the work of Lucy Lawless with Renee O'Connor as Xena and Gabrielle during the series. There also the participation of Ted RaimiΒ as Joxer, Bruce Campbell as Autolycus, Kevin Smith as Ares, Kevin Sorbo as Hercules (special guest from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), Michael Hurst as Iolaus (also fromΒ Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) and many others actors and actresses.
