This is simultaniously the fisrt and second entry to the #fanartcalendarchallenge on instagram by

eivythi ( she is great and new here so go check her out!) this is my mahou shoujo version from miraculous ladybug series as the chalenge is to draw one fanart a month of characters chosen by your folowers those two were requested by the dearest TheKissingHand
The idea was to draw them both in way that i could have one a month( in my ig @terraremar i posted them separatly) but that they could be in the same pic too since as she said theyre a team and think they look so cute togheter. So i have the idea of making them as Mahou shoujo characters since tho its more a hero thing( she-ra is more a mahou shoujo ) there are some magical girl elements and i hae the idea for the dresss full of frills so.. ( and we both are fans of sailor moon^^)for her i just made up the dress and made some cute shoes, for him i tried to be more in tuxedomask style since i guess could have a similar vibe in some way.. the idea of the background was to make an yi yang cause its the shape of the miraculous oficail box( i guess i just liked the idea so muchi forgot to check it..) and because she represents creation and luck and he has the power of destrution.. So i figured that the Yin Yang thing would be cool if it had some reference to the day to day life of marinette( hes was super easier than adrians) and thats it^^
i was testing a lot with watercolors in ladybugs i think chat noir looks smoother and more like i planned.I guess it because i used grey watercolors( i finally discovered how to mix the colors to get grey.. its dark bronw with dark blue mostly) and because i still have a problem with getting the rigth shade of red.. Ladybugs has much more pencil colors work than chats. hes mostly watercolor and china ink black and green and blue poster colors. in her i used watercolors, color pencilspink poster colors and black china ink.
I mixed the 2 imagens digitally using publisher and correcting some edges on paint.
