What do you think I should rename it to? I was almost debating on putting this into scraps, but some people said they found it helpful despite my thinking that it was useless.
At the same time, I did say why I felt my choices were good ones. Or I at least tried. I apologize if that didn't get through.

Well, it's more a case that a tutorial is supposed to tutor. Showing your process is more entertainment than tutoring.
Hm... it's a walkthrough so something like Tetiel's [insert what your image is] Walkthrough?
*is so not creative*

Oh thank you! And yeah detail's a hard thing to do. Sometimes it gets so bad that my hand and wrist starts really aching. That happened especially with the gardenias in the background, but the results are often worth it!

Just simply glancing over these, I feel like I've somehow learned something :3 It's definitely a more personal account of how your art comes about, but generally others' personal reveals tend to teach me more than a flat-out tutorial.
Excellent <333

Oh great! I'm glad you feel that way. I think what's most important is that it never starts off perfect by any means. There's a lot of mistakes made along the way. I used to think that artists just start off with something beautiful that they just randomly think up. Well, maybe some do, but I sure as heck can't xD

I start out with blobs and general concepts xD Honestly, if I'd never completed a piece people would fear my art rather than be mildly content with it.
Your start seems good to me >:3 Allows for more flow that way.

Wow, it's amazing to see other artists' ways of drawing. You go from a still slightly messy sketch to a perfectly colored masterpiece! Fantastic work!

Composition's pretty difficult. I don't even think I'm even that great at it. What's important is actually starting to think about it and to try to improve. I'm glad to help!

Oh, well... that's actually a great question. Sometimes I just feel like drawing and have kind of an idea in my head, but I'm not sure what. I tend to look at pictures that freaking amazing anime artists like Onineko or Nardack where they always put a crazy amount of detail into their personal work. And to be perfectly honest, a lot of these types of things take me months to finally complete mostly because they're precious to me, they're mine. I want to do it right. I actually have some in there that are almost a year old that I've put off for now :\
Commissions, while this may seem terrible, typically don't take me that long. I think they'd be pissed at me if I made them wait for months so I just force myself to draw xD

This is an AMAZING tutorial! It's sooo helpful like you wouldn't believe. I'm terrible at composition and designing stuff (especially clothes!) so I really appreciate the tips you give to fellow artists in need like me. Especially the part about the Rule of Threes (never heard of it, probably because I haven't taken an art class before XD)
I have a few questions, though: Do you always do your sketches on the computer with a grayish background? Would you recommend doing sketches on paper or computer? o.o Also, do you draw every part of your sketch designs on a new layer? (like the choker, ruffles, bracelets, etc.) Or just one? >.< Because I really hate sketching a design, then deciding that I don't like it, and erase EVERYTHING surrounding it and redoing it. =/ Thanks again! This tutorial was incredibly helpful!

Aww why thank you <3 I don't know how old you are, but if you're still in high school, it might be worth taking at least one. Of course, it all depends on how good your art program is. I was very fortunate to have a really great art program in my school which kind of nurtured me as an artist.
Oh, actually I do my sketches on a white background with black. Digital or traditional is totally up to you. I always do mine digital because it's much easier to make changes to proportions or just to erase in general. But yes, I do pretty much everything on a different layer. You can flatten them later if you want to, but it makes everything easier for me when I'm designing outfits.

You gave us alot of tips about little details and what can make or ruin a drawing ^^
Very nice!
