Description

Only a few alien civilizations are known to have developed advanced robotics.

Ceru-Koda Robot:

The Ceru-Koda rely extensively on robots and uplifts. This comes down to the evolutionary psychology of being dependent on other species for tool use. The Ceru-Koda prefer biomachines over abiotic machines for aesthetic and cultural reasons.

For every other known example of alien robotics, the most common design will resemble the physiology of the creator species. This does not seem to be the case for the Ceru-Koda. While their robots locomote and use tools in a similar way, overall they are modelled to resemble a kind of shelled invertebrate creature on their homeworld. Even Ceru-Koda sociologists are unsure of why this is the case.

Rhuyll Robot:

Rhuyll robots are very similar in concept to what Terrans would be familiar with, although Rhuyll robotics are primitive in comparison to even an average terran. This is likely an example of humans being the odd one out as we are far more reckless other sapient species. Rhuyll robots are kept artificially stupid to prevent them from becoming a threat to their species.

Because the rhuyll use abiotic materials for robots, said robots have a much easier time travelling between alien civilizations. Similar to Terran robots they only need a short decontamination for surface microbes before entering alien habitats, in stark contrast to the long gruelling process of xenobiological inoculation biotic sapients have to deal with inorder to avoid suffering horrible diseases and allergic reactions.

Vhyuaang:

Terrans have little contact with Vhyuaang. On a few occasions Ceru-Koda and Terran scientists have seen Vhyuaang robots. To the surprise of many they were very advanced and rivalled the complexity of human engineering. They appeared like large snails moving on a mat of nanobot gel with many thin branching arms that emerged from the sides of it's shell. The robots were seemingly intelligent although the human diplomats were told not to speak with them as the robots were busy.
