Background: Asuka and her younger sister were both orphans at a young age, and spent most of the childhoods at an orphanage. Despite their supposed misfortune, Asuka was a bright and optimistic thinker for the future and a little prodigy when it came to the use of magic. She was someone who just enjoyed seeing others be happy, her younger sister more than anyone else. To that end, Asuka wanted to start her own magic themed school to bring others happiness through the gift of magic. She promised Chiaki that such a dream would come true after the two were adopted. However, as time went on, the two kept getting passed over, while other children around them were adopted, soon leaving them as the only two. Their calls seemed to finally be answered when Shuji Kosagami visited the orphanage. Shuji himself was a wealthy businessman who, initially, wasn’t interested in his two options and was prepared to leave. Desperate, Asuka pleaded with Shuji to take the two of them in. Shuji agreed, only if she was able to impress him with whatever magic potential she had in her. The two had a duel, with her novice level fire magic against his expert level Dark magic. Asuka lost… but impressed him enough to take both her and Chiaki in as his own.

After their adoption, Shuji instructed Asuka on both business tactics and mastery over her magic. While he gave off the impression of a caring father, he only wanted a proper heir to leave his company in good hands should he pass away. His company was one that developed Cyber Magia devices that are commonly used by law enforcement or those with licenses. However, he had maybe taught Asuka a bit too well. For her 14th birthday, Shuji gave her a good amount of his company’s shares, a mistake that would prove fatal on his part as Asuka became ambitious and began earning more shares for herself over Shuji. Soon enough, she had her hand over a large majority of the company without even officially owning it. Realizing his mistake too late after, Shuji called Asuka and her sister for a meeting out of the blue. Shuji assured Asuka she was proud of her for being so ambitious and business-smart, enough to make him believe that he could pass the company on to her. Before she could even reply, however, he had smashed a window in the conference room suddenly and told Asuka: “Watch well, Asuka. For this is what happens to losers. My faith in you is unshakeable… with my legacy in your hands, failure is out of reach for you.” After his final words, he dove out the broken room window to his death. This event shocked both Chiaki and Asuka to their core, Asuka especially. This event, as well as Shuji’s teachings throughout her life, made Asuka become cold and bitter, forgetting her original dream in favor of something else: And that something else was standing above everyone else.

The next three years of her life would be developing her father’s company further, becoming a big name not only in Japan but in other places around the world as well. Asuka herself made an even bigger name for herself, making incredible advancements in magical technology in such a short time. Her name was well known enough that it came as no surprise that she entered into the Crescent Moon Mag Academy along with her sister, for the sole purpose of outclassing everyone else and showing the might of the Kosagami name.

Personality: Asuka is a perfectionist in every sense of the world. She doesn’t settle for mediocrity on her own part or from others. She is arrogant and overconfident, yet also cautious and willing to wait at the same time, waiting for the right moment to strike. This can apply both in and out of combat. She refers to herself in a boastful way while having a snobbish attitude towards others, often referring to Aaron and her team with insulting nicknames. She is power-lusting and usually selfish, however, she shows a calmer, nicer side around her sister Chiaki, who is the only person she’s said to truly love. Asuka is a sore loser in every sense of the word, believing that losing is the same thing as accepting one’s death.

Abilities: Being the head of her own company which she successfully took from her adoptive father, Asuka has great business sense and can be trusted to make sure a deal doesn’t fall through. She is an expert level mage from a young age, thanks to the teachings from Shuji, with her fire magic being at a level that rivals young masters. Her Cyber Magia form is based on a dragon and was designed by Asuka herself, and makes use of a new element: the Dragon element, which is a mix between fire and thunder magic. This new magic can drain the mana of others, leaving them defenseless for her lightning fast spear strikes. In addition to all of that, Asuka is unsurprisingly athletic and nimble, both in and out of Cyber Magia form.
