This is happening, folks! Valiard is getting animated, even if only for a short trailer.

As you guys know, my goal is to hire a freelance editor to take a look at the Valiard novel so I can make it available for on-demand printing to those of you who'd like to own a physical copy. It's why I haven't approached any traditional publishers—I'd love it if digital copies of the first volume will always remain free and I know I can't yet wrangle a contract where that could be made possible.

So to help spread the word and maybe even get a Kickstarter going, I'm making a trailer. BUT I NEED YOUR HELP!

I'm looking for:
A layout artist. Anyone know anybody good?
Volunteer colouritsts to brave the trenches with me and help colour the characters frame-by-frame, just flats. Anyone with Photoshop, Gimp, Manga Studio, etc can help here. Since it's voluntary, you can sign up and opt out as you please.

I'll be announcing a casting call for voice actors in the next few weeks, so if you want to be the official voice of Ruth, Theodore, Adam or Gangfield, keep an eye out!

I will NOT be posting regular updates on the trailer's progress on deviantART. If you want to follow the progress of the trailer's production, Like the Valiard Facebook page. I'll be posting rough animations, backgrounds, storyboards, the works! This project will NOT be developed in secrecy. Everyone's welcome to take a looky.
