My illustrated assignment for #City-Of-Sundown . Erskine runs through a flickering hallway and past an old bulletin board, sending old papers flying while he tries to save both himself and a little lost kitten from a couple very persistent infected.

Also drawn for this assignment was a half-*ssed sketch-sequence of the adventure:

This was so fun to do! Even if I... clearly need some more practice on buildings and... and lighting and... ratio sizes and... stuff... ;-; There was a lot I wanted to experiment with here. The lighting of failing ceiling bulbs, the way that building lights can make you have multiple shadows, stuff like that. Even if this kinda sucks I still had a great time making it. xD

COS ASSIGNMENTS: GUARDS

"Guards: You have been sent out to explore a recently discovered building on the outskirts of the city. It is quite tall and rather suspicious looking with its lack of windows, but surprisingly, still lit from the inside (perhaps it relies on a different power source like propane?)

Your leader wants you to check the building out; if it's safe, your raiders and crafters may be able to utilize the place. But what's this? By the time your party reaches the top floor, you discover a kitten huddling in the corner. You approach it, only for the kid to be frightened off by your huge posse. You soon find it, only for the lights to... you guessed it, start to fail.

Illustrate your mad dash in the flickering darkness while the few infected hiding here finally come out to play... How did you and the other guards work together to save the kitten and find your way back out? Was it challenging to rely on your other senses in the dimmest moments? (Cats can see in the dark, but not in total darkness, so the intervals when the light bulbs gave no light at all would have required extra senses to get around.)

By the way, you get him out safely. His mother is there looking for him by the time you find your way out, and she's very grateful for your help! Unfortunately, it's pretty late out, and you're forced to take the mother cat's kind invite to stay at her small group's place for the night. You hope your gang will be okay..."
