Description Nephele - a cloud spirit and also a genus of moth

Approx. 7" by 5".

Hand-sewn, hand-torn pages in archival-quality paper. Irresistably strokey purple suede, embossed leather butterfly emblem decorated with metal leaf and metallic purple paint, metal corner-guards. Three ribbon bookmarks in purple, lilac and gold, and elegant butterfly-print endpapers.

As soon as I hunt down some good gold jewellers' wire I will add antennae

very beautifully assembled. So what stitching method did you use for the binding?

All my books are bench-sewn - the pages are folded, stacked, and sawn with grooves to set the supporting cords. I then use waxed linen thread to sew the pages onto the cords, linking them at the ends with a kettle stitch. There's a brief overview in my portfolio (linked in my signature).
