Description Chapter 2, Part 3: Onto the Sea

While John was lying in his bed at the inn, he looked around, seeing it appeared to be a hand carved wood furniture. Even his own bed appeared to have been made of wood aside from the very bedding he rested on. He sighed while pulling out a blue book and a quill pen. He began to write as he sighed, looking out the window to the ocean that could be seen right at the next town. "So that's the path we're taking to aurora desert tomorrow? I suppose it is our quickest way there," John said to himself looking at the ocean and sighing again, while looking at his lancet. He just put the quill pen away and the book down, lying down and going to sleep.

Early the next morning, John started hearing screaming outside. He immediately got up, grabbed his lancet that was leaning on the wall and rushed downstairs. Once outside the inn he saw what looked like a giant red and black spider. It appeared to have someone pinned on the ground, biting out his throat. John growled and rushed at the spider, smashing it with the bottom of his lancet. He spun it around and cut off one of the spider's legs. The spider just glared at John before starting to back up and immediately flee.

John just sighed putting his lancet on his back. He looked at the dead corpse and groaned, shaking his head. "Quite a shame," Leo said while coming. He had woken up from hearing the noise as well. John looked at him slightly upset. "I let him die. I failed again," he responded.

Leo growled at him. "Come on, we need to get to the docks to get to your grandfather's. The guy's death wasn't your fault in the slightest," he told John before walking off ahead to the next town nearby while John followed. They had stayed quiet along the walk. The clouds were starting to change to a weird, darker color.

When they were arriving to the docks they saw a big ship preparing to leave. "Looks like we made it just in time," Leo said grinning. "Yes, it is quite fortunate," John replied. They began climbing aboard the boat. They saw it was starting to rain as the boat began sailing off. John just sat down, shaking his head, just watching all the other passengers go below deck, while Leo relaxed around while they were sailing the sea.

I have a bad feeling about them being on the boat. A simple rainfall turns quickly into a storm when you're on a boat, according to movie logic.
