Description I don't know if many of you are even aware of this old anime. Nickelodeon used to air it way way back in the mid-late 80's (back before there was a Nick at Nite! Nickelodeon would just go off the air at around dinner time.) Haha! I'm so old.

Anyway, I've just been nostalgic for this cartoon series lately. Recently, I found out that it was actually done by Studio Pierrot! Imagine that! It was one of the highest quality and most unique cartoons I could remember at the time and I still love the themesong.

I don't know if it's as good as I remember (Thundercats sure wasn't.) But I have good memories all the same.

I loved this show as a kid! I can remember watching it around 1987-1989 on the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
I've always liked anime - not that I knew the term back then, but that kind of animation just always appealed, and the storylines and educational aspect that was often subtle with this was great. Especially as I knew I was born in South America but had no memory of it as I left as a baby (oil field brat)

They're cuties!Especially Zia! Only Esteban's hair looks a little...ummm...non-characteristic...
But it's a nice work after all!

omg... OMG... I know that show! I don't remember a dang bit about it, just that I watched it when I was really young at my babysitter's house because it was on at that time of day... I used to stand on a rock in their backyard and sing an only partially recognizable version of the ending theme song.

XD

I remember for YEARS I would have to try and convince people I was not on drugs in my youth and that this show was REAL. I think I have a few random episodes on tape somewhere (thank god I leared to use a VCR before a telephone) I NEVER forgot that theme song...then my roomie found an MP3. Anyone who remembers this wonderful show is up on the top of the awesome list.

I have that problem nowadays. No one knew what I was talking about when I mentioned this show.

I almost had to convince myself I was not on drugs. hehe.

Ah the nostalgia, I never heard it in english though, only french. I wonder if 'Les Trois Mousquetaires' was ever released on DVD, I think it had a similar art style, but it was so long ago I can't really remember acurately.

Aahh!! This was my favorite TV show when I was 8, and I REMEMBER those pre-Nick at Nite days, and I remember the commercials for it. XD; Also remembered when they moved that show to 3 and 6 am. Ah, you made them look great. Zia in particular looks so cute and sweet. ^^

I think it's still pretty good now considering its age. First ep is at YouTube:

I have no idea this show even existed. In the '80s, the only that a Jamaican could watch foreign shows was if they were rich enough to owe a jumbo sized satellite dish. Even if my mum had had one of those, I'd have been a low-memory-span tot while it aired, so I wouldn't remember crud anyway.

I totally remember them and thier giant golden eagle mech thingy. I think it was dull at times, but it was def great for kids and inspiring creativity.

Fantastic idea to recreate them, you got their look down. Id go as far as tot hank you for doing this.
