"Also, the first fully shaded version of the main protagonist of my new franchise." HA, yeah, right. Good one, Artrix. You know how to make a joke five years in advance.

Looking at that character design, I'm actually glad that I hold off :\

"Uranus Superstore"
May that be a parody of a certain german electronics store chain?

That would be correct.

As with a lot of your pictures, I really appreciate the detail here, from the posture of the girl to the cobwebs on the "wuppie". Also, I sympathize with her; especially at this time of year, I'd much rather be anywhere but work.

At one of the 20 certified Junk Industries resellers spread all across Rothingham.
(Which isn't much when you consider that Rothingham, as far as we know, does not seem to end anywhere).

This is probably where I should point out that this is a final-ish design for the character for my new series that is going to take place in Rothingham, after T3NSP.

Don't you think pretty much everyone is affected by this? Christmas is like an artificial economy boost, and somehow it actually works.

They're arguably among the most annoying aspects of Dutch popular "culture". They're essentially little balls made of a synthetic fur with cardboard/plastic feet and eyes attached to them. They're ridiculously popular in retail (particularly grocery stores) as a gift for buying a certain amount during events such as soccer finals and other holidays.
What makes them annoying is that they wind up everywhere while they serve no purpose what so ever, yet, everyone wants them.

we used to have something like that around here... but they had little skinny plastic antennae that always broke off. now you get them when you give to charities or as gifts for attending events...
i think someone gave one to me for prom... before my date stood me up. i didnt look fondly on that poofball after that ^_^;

It seems everyone needs to work more, which is ironic. The season that is promoted as a time of joy is extra stressful because in order to bring joy, more labor is needed to provide for the extra services. It's a vicious circle.
The only ones that profit are those on the top who have so much money that Christmas is just a nice excuse to spend it.
