Description
So humanized unicorns do magic, this one is pretty logical. When it comes humanized pegasi, there's a larger scale of possibilities; how do you portray humans with an innate ability to fly. One thing that I personally find disturbing is adding animal features to humans, such as cat ears or wings, especially when they seem slapped on. Same with unicorns, why slap a horn on it when humans have fingers.So I decided to go with a mix between the innate ability to control wind flow and what humans are good at; technology. So here is Rainbow Dash teaching Scootaloo how to use a hang glider.
Oh yea, and Fluttershy is there also, because pegasus.

So are you going to show Spike doing his first thing? Because I honestly feel that the show and many of the fans treat Spike different from the other kids and that always kind of bugged me. He is defiantly around the same age as the Crusaders, so why is he always left out whenever they go off to do something?Β

Spike's an odd character from the very beginning; his origins are highly dubious (that egg had to come from somewhere), he's an entirely different species that normally poses a great risk to the ponies' security, even though he's a "baby" he seems to be on par with the adults in terms of cognitive ability. He's neither in school or has an actual job to make an independent living.
That aside, I did draw something involving Spike, which is entitled Guy talk. It's isn't exactly one of my renditions of Spike, though.

My general take on humanized pegasi, aside from the wind control thing, is that they are naturally very agile, along with gravity control and what have you. They can't outright fly, but they certainly set themselves apart from the other "kinds".
Winged humanizations is just not my thing. It feels lazy and it's not very aesthetically pleasing.

I don't know why but I feel Rainbow should have a jet pack rather than a hang glider.

I'm just mentally visualising the spectacularly chopped-and-customised rocket-augmented powered stunt glider that Rainbow uses to break the Rainbow Barrier. Or maybe she has a jet-powered wing pack (again, rocket-augmented) like that Swiss guy.

Very nicely done. Seems very much in the spirit of RD, helping Scootaloo in this sort of thing. The landscape's nicely laid out, helps to add a great sense of depth to this.

In this series, it's just the two ponies of the mane case and their respective Cutie Mark Crusader. Ergo, in this case it's Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy and Scootaloo.

Wait...why don't Rainbow or Scootaloo have feet!?

Their legs are in what is called a "harness", which is basically like a sleeping bag around the legs. This is because during the flight, the legs that contributed to our species' dominance on this planet suddenly become useless baggage and keeping them in position becomes very tiring, especially during long flights.
The harness keeps the legs together in one place, in turn making them more effective as a steering mechanism. I don't really know the details, but I suppose that harness can be opened just before landing, so that the pilot can use their legs again.

This is sorta awesome beyond words.
Every little piece is wonderfully stylized and detailed. Even the background has a a lot going on while still being faded so as not to distract from the focus.

Of course, unlike the real world hang glider, those stay aloft as long as "pony magic" remains applied. Like the airbender gliders.
