This picture is part of the Artrix Avatar Month, see the AAM seal of approval.Today, I present you something I did pretty early on, but it remains one of those golden concepts. Take Mythbusters, and have them analyze one of those trademark anomalies of the Avatar fandom: Zutara. For those uninitiated, Zutara is the endorsement of a relationship between Katara and Zuko, two characters who end up not being in a relationship at all. These people amuse me to no end and I actively and openly teased them.
So here's the high-def version of the comic, enjoy.

But you do know that they really like when things explode on Mythbusters?
Their happiness is proportional to the βboomβ of the explosion. So I thing they would be pretty happy with the βzutara substanceβ

A very clever observation indeed, and I really didn't think of that when I made this.
As their happiness, although I think the words "excitement" or "joy" would be somewhat more fitting in their context, is proportional to the magnitude of the various explosions they cause, I think it's greatly diminished by the fact that they are pretty much caught up in it :]
But I suppose they can still laugh about it as they are treated for third degree burns in the emergency ward.

I supposed you havenβt thought of that, because you literally said you like to tease Zutara, so the explosion couldnβt have any βgoodβ connotation. And I liked this βambivalenceβ of the picture exactly because it wasnβt your intention.
I just wanted to point that outβ¦ That Adam and Jamie like myths involving explosives, not explain all the consequences of action in the picture, particularly because 3rd degree burns arenβt fun at all.
So⦠Adam and Jamie would be pretty excited with zutara substance if they had properly protected themselves for the explosion, what is exactly what they would have done if it was real life.
But as long as it is just a picture, we donβt have to worry about the burns because the βhealing factorβ of all cartoons is pretty good or Daffy Duck, the Coyote and most of cartoons characters would be dead by now.

As I'm reading this, it becomes clear to me that we both operate under a different sense of humor.
Of course Adam and Jamie would take the necessary precautions if they know there's a chance for danger. But in the picture they obviously don't, and I like to exaggerate to the point of involving things that would otherwise not be funny at all.
In the end, it isn't even really "anti-Zutara" because I just don't care enough. The joke is that trying to combine Katara and Zuko leads to a big explosion, which you can interpret as you wish.
