EDIT: Yay, EQD - www.equestriadaily.com/2016/02β¦EDIT: THE BABY DID NOT COME IN A BOX. That's just the card that came with it in the last frame. Cadance gave birth in the normal way, just rather .. um ... more rapidly than she had expected.
I think that this is the first time I've had two seperate comics features in EQD in the same post.

Expedited delivery, when you absolutely positively cannot wait 3-5 business days for your package. Except, of course, if you live in the sticks. Where "Next Day" delivery is something that happens to other people.
Since I only got the idea for this comic this morning, this isprobably the quickest that I've ever drawn a comic.

It's a joke on "express delivery", as "delivery" is the word used for when a baby is born.

Yeah, between not knowing how long horse carries a foal and that the three seasons apparently represent a year, this probably is happening pretty fast.

I think that the entire basis for the whole "year" thing was the episode Tanks for the Memory. Which implies that it was Rainbow and Tank's first winter together, and the fact that a few things were mentioned twice (Like Hearths Warming Eve and the Grand Galloping Galla) so some people presumed that they must be consecutive events. Rather than there being other events in the middle that weren't mentioned.
There are a lot of other things that contradict it in both the comics and the series. Just look at Amending Fences. It implies that there was several years between that and the pilot episode.

Was thinking more from the pilot and Celestia's Sun celebration, to the next when Luna participated. Pretty sure a few show seasons happened in between.

It's honestly difficult to tell since some events are referenced in the first two seasons, but aren't referenced again until season 4 or 5.
Other events, happen only once and are never spoken off again. While some events that we think must happen are never shown.
Twilight only has one birthday during the entire 5 seasons, so does Rainbow Dash and Spike. Rarity, Applejack and Fluttershy never have a birthday on screen.
For example, we don't know if the Best Night Ever, and Make New Friends but Keep Discord are on consecutive years or if there is a Gala or two in between that isn't shown. Or if Luna Eclipsed and Scare Master are consecutive years.
I think that each season probably represents a year, except for season 3. Which is a filler between seasons 2 and 4, and is probably 3-6 months.
