Bloodshed blinked. He wasn't certain he had heard that right. No, he had to have heard it wrong. There was no way... "Say th... -in. Please, say-"

"I forgive you, Bloodshed. I forgive you."

The vampire still couldn't believe him. Why would he forgive him for all that he had done to him? He raped him! He took him against his will for days and held him as a hostage, his personal sex slave!

Thornstriker froze as the other's large hands came up to hold his head. He found himself being pulled closer to Bloodshed, eyes even closer, eyelashes almost touching. Their lips a fraction apart.

"Say that... again."

Those red eyes looked deep into him, through him. Thornstriker would have been afraid if this were any other situation. But this was him trying to save his friend, his soul mate. He wasn't afraid anymore.

"I forgive you."

Bloodshed couldn't see anything. There was no lying, no hiding behind any masks, no hidden agenda. It was just Thornstriker. All of him bare for the vampire. Him and the truth. He had been forgiven.

Thornstriker's eyes widened when he saw tears in the vampire's eyes, slowly sliding down his cheeks. He opened his mouth to speak, but the words died on his tongue. He had never seen the other cry before. He didn't even know that Bloodshed knew how to cry. He had always been so strong, so in control with his emotions. The scientist couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Bloodshed's hands dropped to his arms, gripping them tightly as his face fell into Thornstriker's chest, silently crying in disbelief into his shirt. His entire body was trembling, this sense of relief just flooding through him. The pain, the frustration - it was being drowned as he repeated the words in his mind again and again and again. Thornstriker forgave him. The love of his life, his soul mate, had forgiven him for his heinous crimes.

"Bl-Bloodshed...?"

The vampire looked up at his beloved, who was staring down at him with parted lips and wide, concerned eyes. Who made him so beautiful? Who had granted him such an angel, his savior? He didn't deserve him or his forgiveness. But it was given to him anyway.

"Blood-mmm?!"

The bigger man had finally closed the distant between them, pressing their lips together in a needed, desperate kiss. He was too stunned to react at first, just sitting there and allowing Bloodshed's tongue to thrust into his mouth. It carried a metallic tang to it, probably the cause of his blood. The vampire's lips were mean, passionate. It overwhelmed him as he realized that it was because it was all for him. Bloodshed was kissing him because he was forever grateful, because he had been forgiven by his "beloved soul mate."

He didn't think he would enjoy such an action from the other, but Thornstriker found himself surprisingly comforted by the vampire's kiss. It showed him that Bloodshed was all right, that Bloodshed wouldn't be killing himself by denying what he really needed anymore.

Bloodshed finally pulled back from the kiss, both of them panting heavily as they stared at each other. Bloodshed's tears had stopped flowing and Thornstriker's cheeks were bright red, slightly trembling at the piercing gaze in the other's bright red eyes.

"Bl-Bloodshed, I-"

"I'm sorry," he whispered, looking away from his face. "I... I shouldn't have done that... I just... I wanted..." He then inhaled, looking back up at him with a more solemn, serious expression. "I... I love you, Thornstriker. I never wanted to hurt you... I'm just so... sorry."

Thornstriker blushed brightly at the sudden confession. It was one thing for Bombrush to tell him about his son's feelings, but to actually hear it from the man was something else. He had never really been confessed to so seriously before; it was unnerving in a way. His heart beat frantically against his chest as he bit his bottom lip, nodding once. "I... I know... Bo-Bombrush told me and I-I could tell just by your ac-actions, so... I know."

Bloodshed figured his father had said something, but didn't pay much mind to that bit of fact. As long as Thornstriker knew. As long as Thornstriker could see just how much he meant to him and just how much he regretted what he had done to him.

"Thornstriker... What can I do?" he whispered softly, stroking his cheek. "How can I make it up to you...? I know you said you've forgiven me, but... I need to fix this. Please... what can I do?"

The scientist swallowed, but knew what he had to say. "I... I want you to feed properly," he said, never taking his eyes off the vampire, whose own eyes had widened. "I want you to get better and if feeding from me makes that happen, then... I want you to do it."

Bloodshed was surprised. He wasn't surprised often, but today had been on a roll and it didn't seem to be stopping. Thornstriker wanted him to feed from him? He didn't think the human would let him do that so soon.

But his body called out for the rich, hot blood flowing under that perfect skin. So the vampire slowly nodded, moving to give the other a small kiss before moving to his throat. He kissed at the skin, making the other's voice slip out moans and gasps. But as his tongue lapped at the skin, his body couldn't go through with it.

Bloodshed couldn't understand what was wrong. All he needed to do was a simple bite and suck. Why wouldn't his body go through with it?

But the answer came to him through his hips giving a small roll into the smaller man's crotch that was seated just above his. Bloodshed felt himself blush, embarrassed and horrified that his body was acting like this in this situation.

Thornstriker was waiting for the bite when he realized the other had stopped. He was about to ask why when he felt a hot feeling from his groin, followed by his senses registering the hot bulge rubbing against his. His blush slowly grew as he leaned back out of shock.

He was surprised when he saw Bloodshed blushing more furiously than him, obviously shocked as well by the reaction. Then it finally hit the scientist; blood tasted better at the height of sex and he knew Bloodshed had fed from humans in that manner.

Bloodshed saw the other and panicked, words rushing out as he tried to explain himself. "I-I... I didn't mean for this to happen! I swear, I wasn't going to do anything. Oh shit-"

Thornstriker quickly moved a hand to stroke the other's cheek, calming him down as his hand moved slowly across the sticky skin. "It's fine. It's fine. I said that you needed to feed properly and–" his blush grew redder "–and I won't go back on what I said."

The vampire thought his hearing was going failing him again. He didn't mean- "You... Are you sure? We don't have to- I won't force you to–"

He was stopped by Thornstriker's lips closing over his. He closed his eyes to reciprocate the kiss when the human pulled back, looking at him with fear and lust in his eyes.

The scientist's emotions were messing with his thought process. Normally, he would be hesitant to agree to sex so soon after making up, but at this point, Thornstriker was too emotionally charged from the kiss and his body's reactions. He could handle it; for Bloodshed's sake, he would give him and sex one more chance.

"Please." He slowly let out as he moved to position his clothed erection over the other's. "Show me- show me you love me. Show me... that's it a beautiful thing. Let me feel it. Your love. Your feelings." His hands moved up to hold the other's head again, moving their lips closer again. "Let me love you back."

Bloodshed heard everything as it processed through his mind, only reacting when he felt the smaller man kiss him deeply.

Love him. Thornstriker... loved him?

Primus, he wasn't going to mess up this second chance.

As he made the kiss even deeper than before, Bloodshed's hands moved to slowly caress the human's body, keeping them above the clothes.
