He then laid me over the surface. All around me was dark, hardly seeing a thing until my eyes adjusted. I looked over at the creature that saved me from my team witnessing. His hands, that would normally be gloved, where darken with long razor sharp finger tips. His mask was torn a bit around the openings, probably from all the sewer water wearing it down. His eyes too were glowing, emitting an emerald color from the dark.

"Where are we?" I looked around, observing all the tunnels and passages running in all directions.

"We're in zhe water system, my home..." He turned his head looking over at me. "Follow me and stay close." I did as I was told traveling down the maze of tunnels.

"Tell me why you are like zhis?"

"I'm not quite sure... It just happened."

"This is the first time this has happening to you?"

"Yes."

"Hm, zhen that explains why you were running away, escaping into zhe sewers."

"Oui..."

It was a bit unsettling being in these tunnels, how they seem to moan and create strange sounds with every step echoing off the abandon concrete walls. I kept hearing the sound of something scurrying behind us, something large causing me to constantly turn my back, reinsuring that I wasn't being followed.

"Come, we're almost there," Just when he turned around he drew to a halt, peering down into the tunnel. His vision was obviously sharper than mine seeing nothing but darkness no more than half way through the channel. He then gave a cold glare to something deep in the tunnel, pulling me in closer as protection from what was down there. There was an angry low hiss then the splashing of water descending away, deeper into the dark tunnel.

"W-what was that?" There was a hint of nervousness in my tone, shaken by the fact that I was indeed being targeted.

"Don't worry, he's a friend. He doesn't take too kindly with visitor's invading his home, that's all." He remained staring for a couple of moments before continuing to our destination. "Here we are," he gestured to a lighten 'room' shaped as a circle with a short tunnel opening barred off allowing light to stream in. Past the iron bars was the battleground of 2Forts. I could see the Blu base was partially lit up and couldn't see any shadows blacking out any of the lit windows.

"You can stay here until things 'ave calmed" The other Spy tended to stay in the shadows, but a few of his tentacles did come through out the darkness. His eyes still locked on to me as he examined my form. I had sensed another being present. I looked over seeing another pair of eyes, this one being a golden-hazel color. He too was also taking the time to observe me.

"Hmmm, ssstrange... Vhat iss zhiss… you bring?" I could detect the accent being similar to the Medic's, but was slurred.

"I'm glad zhat you've relaxed now," the Spy replied to the other creature. "I found him in the sewers, trying to escape his 'friends'."

"They won't see me as a friend," I countered. "They'll only see as a monster. It wouldn't even cross their mind to realize that it's really me." I looked out seeing the lights die down. The base was once again quiet. Everything was quiet for a moment.

"You must see past all of zhis." The other Spy assuaged. "I know someone who is worried about you, cares about you." He paused for a moment, letting that phrase sink in. "I know how it feels, but you need to give them a chance. They can help you." I thought this over. Who would understand, who could I trust. Then I remembered my first time coming to Blu.

That warm smile Sniper had when he saw me. Greeting me on our first mission together, the start of our strong friendship and how far it grew. Then how worried he seemed when I told about the bite. Now that I had disappeared, he's probably thinking I was kidnapped or worse. I started to think of how much pain I was causing him now, he's suffering because he wants to protect me.

Looking back outside, I saw him. He was in front of the building, standing to take a look around. He then bent down as if he was reading tracks, but came up disappointed. Walking back into the building he turned around, hoping to catch a glimpse of me but to his sorrow I wasn't present. I watched him return to the building, slowly closing the door behind him. I felt miserable, taking a moment of silence before making my decision.

"I'll go back." I saw a smile sweep across the other Spy's face noticing his sharp teeth. He then lend me back out to another opening closer to the silent base. I continued back to where I escaped, careful not make too much noise back through the window. The door was completely demolished by Soldier. I could only hope for the best tomorrow morning.
