Ohhh... this whole Star Wars/Star Trek war has gone on for years, I know that much.Has anyone seen the film Fanboys? A perfect example of the Trekkie vs Fanboys rivalry, and an awesome film too!

However, make way for the new King of the Space Opera, Commander Shepard! If you've played the Mass Effect games, you'll know how deep and rich the storyline is, and how amazing the universe around it is. It doesn't even feel like it's just a game. If you haven't played it, I highly recommend you do!

Maybe you should do another "Great Debate" regarding Mass Effect and Halo.
There has been a lot of debates and arguments between those two franchise in many forums. Most of them are about "Master Chief vs Commander Shepard", "UNSC vs Systems Alliance", Forerunners vs Reapers", "Flood vs Reapers", "Halo weaponry (both UNSC's and Covenant's) vs Mass Effect weaponry" and so on.
Heck, they even take those arguments to a whole new "level(s)": fanfiction and fan arts!
P.S. I'm a Mass Effect fan and I will HOLD THE LINE!

Up until the ending of ME3 I'd have agree with you. Damn you Casey Hudson and Mac Walters.
EC improves it a bit, but doesn't salvage it. Oh well, I'd say that ME can be retrieved now, so long as the producer and head writer are changed.

I'll admit the ending was a bit of a letdown for me too. Extended Cut did give some unanswered questions, but I really wish there was a better survival option or something. I would have loved to be reunited with my crew.
I don't know but for me it felt like the options were:
1. Die so the universe can live
2. If you don't pick an option you die anyway
3. Die for control
It's like we didn't have any real "choice" at all :\

Anyway, I think Spock's weapon is from the original, in a vague episode when Spock had to go fight in a duel back on Vulcan... if my memory serves me correctly.

It is from the original, you're right. I am not a big Trekkie buff, so I had to google Vulcan weapon, and this Lirpa came up the most, and was the only thing visually available.
By the way, I was so happy with the casting of Quinto in the 2009 film, he looks so much like a younger Leonard Nimoy!

I love being a geek-girl and embrace it heartily. Hell, once I get some commissioned stuff in the mail, I'll really be geeking it out, wearing my Mass Effect jewelry and showing my love of gaming. Also, once I get enough money saved up, I've got my eye on some N7 gear from the BioWare store that I'll be wearing once the weather cools down again.
The way I see it is why should I hide who I am? I enjoy it and if I'm myself, and act like me, then I'm happier and I know that people are seeing the real me. They might shake their heads a bit, but eh well

that's awesome! I am similar in that i love gaming, comics(western and manga) and anime, I'm even a voice actor for a game based web series(in the works).
and the way i figure it if someone don't like you for who you are they aint worth the time a day. if i wanna walk around in a cloak with red clouds on it for shits and giggles woo-who for me. heh heh.
and i have seen some of biowares stuff and they got some nice shirts and jackets i want.

And that's awesome that you're a VA for a game based web series. I sound much younger than I am (not that it's high pitched or anything, just kind of youngish sounding) so I don't know how well I could do something like that - plus I lack the equipment needed I'm sure, nor would I know how to go about doing something like that. I hope the series goes well!
