Roy and Naomi bask in each other's company and friendship on this cool, spring night. Not much else to say here; just wanted to draw these two together in a lovely situation this time These two have been friends for over six years, and have been boyfriend/girlfriend for about three. Though they are both only on the verge of becoming 15 years old, they prognosticate with a fair degree of certitude that they will spend their whole lives together.
This is my first "big" drawing using the pen brushes, and I'll be curious as to what the feedback will be. One thing I love about them is that it makes my line-art pop dramatically more than before. They also spare me the tremendous hassle of re-outling everything in pencil, and erasing every time I trace incorrectly. They also make coloring easier, in that because the lines are so thick, it's really hard to color past them on accident. This helps make me more "brave" with the shading; seeing I can color more darkly, and not risk trespassing the lines. The only negatives I see so far though is that there's a risk in eliminating some detail with thick brushes, and there has to be discrimination between using the thick brush, and thin brush. Also, if a mistake is made in tracing...the drawing is toast since I can't erase it. I really like how it looks though, and I hope everyone else will too! ^^
