Description
This is my part of an art trade with my friend, Almy-Nol . I had no idea what to draw until we had a good rainstorm some ten days ago. With that bit of inspiration, I drew her character, Kitty, walking in the rain. I sort of like how the colors came out, but I wish I had made the sky darker (the same problem I had with my last piece), and the colors used for her fur weren't different enough from each other, like in the reference. The walking pose also looks a little 'stiff,' but that's something I can practice some more. Anyways, I hope you like it!

This will likely be my last drawing of the year; doing the last few drawings, as well as the story, and the theme, tired me out, and I need a little break XD

D'awww! Great job on this! I can see you improving with every drawing and this is no exception. I really enjoy the smooth values you put on Kitty's body, and her serene expression is just the best thing! You really captured her well , believe it or not. Although I was never able to elaborate on a personality for her in the old comic, I did imagine she'd have a somewhat relaxed attitude, and it comes through very well in your drawing.

Thank you , and you're welcome ^^ I picked the expression based on the ref I used, and since she had that relaxed look already, I just stayed with that. The smooth values are probably because I didn't use a pencil to demarcate the colors, like I usually do. I did this first with my previous art trade with NEe-on, and I was told that it looked better without that line (not to mention it's more natural since animals in real life don't have black lines that separate their colors). I plan to keep on with that technique from now on since I also think it looks better.
