Ahhh, ADVENT's relentless propaganda... Now that War of the Chosen has finally given us a chance to present another side to their lies, maybe that'll start winning some hearts and minds? How will the people react, I wonder, to seeing the unmasked skirmishers?

Well the entire story for this is set prior to the start of the game itself, with this part being a flashback from Afifa's perspective. Originally I had a scheme where it would pick up from the book, (and it will in a way, just some aspects) it's just the dlc's, mainly shen's that me do things differently because of the contradictions.
Creativity is another part as well giving some aspects of ADVENT personality such as the speaker.
Given a lot of the ideas I have in mind are set in stone, including WotC elements wouldn't be that hard because of the pace I'm going at, and that the expansion and vanilla are not contradictory to each other.
I also have some subplots in the future that can only benefit more by having wotc additions. Though completing this will take many years.

I think it's a complete accurate depiction, I never got 100% full version, but it is a grim setting (to refer to your comment from last page)in time and to be honest, it can't and shouldn't be shied away from.
ADVENT is in full propaganda about who was to blame for the woes of the last 20 years. Even the novel says human trafficking takes place. Regardless of how advance a spaace faring civilization is they will have a long time sorting out the migration of a global collapse of past governments. Is intentional of the elders or they simply couldn't care less is down to the player, though I have sorted my own reasoning for their actions.

Yeah, Advent has to deal with propogsnda and trting to keep everything under control, while not looking publicly oppressive foe the most part.
Though when I play Xcom 2, thejr dropships look like flying shoes, mixed with the Gungnir helmet from Halo3 or Halo Reach
However in War of the Chosen, their red glowy paets look soooooo much better.
