Description This is a second image of the Blue Bird. The first was "Do Spiders and Birds Get Along".

I am working on a series of bird men and women for a show I intend to have sometime in 2012.

As an Oklahoma Body Painter it is not always easy to find models. We are a conservative state. We do not really have any special FX houses that do any kind of ellaborate makeup that I am aware of.

ok this is really awesome work man. Your style is unique from anyone i've seen; your shading is really intriguing you paint it almost like i would paint a mini in that you shade in order to give your creations their own sort of life whilst stripping the original away... very interesting I like it!

thank you for the compliment, it id definitely appreciated. You have left some of the most feedback I have had on my work in a long time. you would not believe the amount of people that look at my work and maybe even favorite it, but never say anything. I am glad some of my work still moves people to comment. Thank you.

most people probably don't see it as an art form like that of oil painting on canvas. and honestly for most of it i would agree but what you've done is you've taken the same basic concept as what i do from a completely different angle. A new thought process, like a chain of reasoning from a completely different starting point. You've created your own medium, and rather than augment the body you've completely scratched all but the form and created your own.. I think it's to be commended particularly on this bird series, creative thinking like this is rarely seen anymore. Though i do wonder what kind of paint you used because it doesn't look like the usual liquid latex.

Thank you. It is a makeup called paradise and is made specifically for use on the skin and for bodypainting. You can check out sillyfarm.com for supplies if it is ever something you are interested in trying. I also have a website called bodypainter.us that I am working on that features different bodypaint artists so you can learn more about the craft. But as you mentioned, each artist has their different techniques.

another point on lack of comments, most people on DA aren't real artists. there are a lot of artists but i would say most likely the majority are not.
