well anywayabout a week or so ago, i was chattin 2 me mate Pedro and he said he found this month old pic he drew of Sonic that he was thinking of commissioning me 2 colour for him... so as i was free of time then, as a test i coloured it up in a cel-shade formate to get a good idea og where i'd do the shadows and what not.. once he gave the thumbs up, i coloured the pic in this 'painty-style' that he requested for this colour commission.
so yeh.. he liked it.. and i do too..
this and that mighty mouse pic i did were my more recent 'psinted' colouration since .. hmm.. a long time now... i guess i like to go back to 'em once ina while..

woweee, these be pwetty! I love his pose, in partic his sneakers and hands for some reason.. methinks the one on the right has the better shading tho the one on the left looks comicbook stylee which is also cool. ^_^

Your coloring just blows me away. Having seen so many bad and mediocre colorist in the art world, you are not only a breathe of freah air. But a rejuvenating spark to relight my hopes that modern comicing can gain from the advances in technology and not flounder in its own misconstrued waste.

I still can't believe you don't have a tablet. I used to color by mouse and I thought I'd have arthritis by the age of 23. How in the WORLD do you pull this off, man? I must know. Do you use the Lasso -> Gradient? Maybe a little Selective coloring here and there? It's mind-boggling!

for the celshading, lasso was used..
for the painty one, just constant opacity/flow changes were used for the brushes...

very awesome, unfortunately i cant decide between with style i like more...hmm...i think the right perhaps, mainly because its more realistic and that can be very hard sometimes, so the harder one is probably the more favorite. nice work! (as always)
