If you mean PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE (one of my favorite movies; I have the CD and DVD of it), then yeah, I can kind of see that!
Actually, Skullman (Shoutarou Ishinomori's prototype to his own MASKED RIDER, the *other* famous superhero in Japan) reminds me of the Phantom also.
BTW, my favorite Ultra Series is ULTRA SEVEN (which is basically the STAR TREK of Japan), which is also one of my favorite Japanese superhero shows (besides the original KIKAIDER and INAZUMAN, both created by Ishinomori).
