I tired to mimic the 60's effects in this video.Low res, grainy and blurry, but this is how we grew to love it

Just amazing! It's hilarious how the space station should be solitary yet the stars are still moving just to give the Enterprise the effect of motion. I'm sure they didn't have the budget to do a wide angle pan of the Enterprise approaching the station from a distance. And since the original film was shot with a blue screen behind the model, they can add any object in front of the Enterprise....like a Romulan warbird...or a Tholian web craft
