There's a number of superb faux comic book covers here on Deviantart which I like a lot, so following suit, here is my little homage to those creepy monster magazine of old.Hope you like it.

Thank you, i just had to google Tod Slaughter, i thought he was another artist LOL. He looks a great subject to paint especially as the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Yeah, he was an inspiration for the League of Gentlemen, Brit tv show... He lifed the part, on and off screen/stage, he was the prototype for macabre horror actors, like Vincent Price.

Hola you are english, my english is quite poor .but i'll try to say what i think There is sun eclipse also, and sun is much bigger powerfull and anchient that the moon the sun inflluence all the solar systemand beyond the moon is only an earth satilite, non much influence than on the earth.. Sun can burn anything you me the moon all the part of this galazy just making explossion..Do you still think you are the winner? But winner of what? is this a championship? i just asked what was your name and you used a methaphore saying you were the moon

As a kid Famous Monsters was the mag that I could never get (too young!)...a stolen peek into it's hallowed pages was all we kids could hope for whilst the newsagent was distracted!!
I did similar mock up many years ago...Sordid Stories it was called...I might have to revive the project now!

SCREAM. Just read last page in SFX latest issue it has a feature page called Total Recall. They reminisce about the old stuff this time its a horror comic called Scream ---- i remember it well, it was a poor and much later version of Tales from the Crypt . Its what i read as a kid! In fact i still have all my old issue ( even though i just sadly lots a ton of my old comic collection through water damage , these were in a filing cabinet)
I never came across any famous monster issues in my youth.

Had to google Scream mag...it doesn't look familiar...maybe it never made it to these shores! I think there's an age gap between us...lol. I work in an industry where age is never an issue and I have good friends barely out of their teens and my best friends on the planet are young enough to be my kids....just!....I often find myself rambling on about some childhood reminiscent's and then just seeing a whole mass of blank faces and I realise I'm talking stuff they haven't a clue about!
As for reviving Sordid Stories? Yeah...well I've just discovered 'vore' art and was thinking it might be fun to do something along those lines...Sordid magazine would be the perfect vehicle for that!
