I ... LOVE... the Great Lakes Avengers.It's not just the location of the team being from my Midwest background, mind you-- really, it's just a fun, stupid idea that I can't help smiling at every time I see it.
When they added Squirrel Girl to the roster, it got even BETTER. Haters beware, I love my fun comics, and GLA has that in droves. It's unapologetically silly, it's fun, it's hilarious. Relax and have fun with it.

Time makes fools of us all.
When I was 15, I imagined a story in which the world as we know it ended, and the remnants of our society intentionally regressed to the living conditions of the seventeenth century, and the world was wrought with distrust and fear.
Now, I'm working on a manuscript for a group of david-esque teens with superpowers who fail to garner the respect or confidence of the public at large, and are completely aware of it.

hehehe Created by Steve Ditko, too. It's a much better character than people give credit for. Not everyone is a Batman type-- there are occasionally wackier characters for the "straight man" character to bounce off of.
