HISTORY
Magi in the Arian tribes have always had mixed fortunes. Some tribes shun the use of magics, while others look up to them as spiritual guides and advisers, especially since most of these 'mystics' have the power to communicate with spirits, including those of the dead. However, the same powers also mean they are unable to be fully accepted into their respective societies, out of fear and paranoia regarding spirits. These mystics can often be found in the forests, though still in close proximity to villages should their services be required.

Javier's parents are both mystics, though he follows his father into the wilderness. Being born with the same powers as his parents, Javier was always seen to follow in his parents' footsteps. Having spent most of his youth in the wilderness, Javier has a strong respect for nature, almost akin to the role of a guardian. Compared to a lot of his kind, Javier had willingly accepted the social isolation from tribal society.

PERSONALITY
Even though his tribe had been generally accepting to him and his kind, Javier prefers a solitary existence, living in the forest and being close to nature. He is more comfortable surrounded by trees or animals than the bustle of the village. A jovial and carefree person, Javier's attentive and calm demeanor adds to the ease of communication with the various spirits (especially since most of them can complain about anything for a long time).

One notable trait is Javier's somewhat chauvinistic attitude towards the female gender. He does not hate women, but he does see them as a bit of annoyance, especially Raquel and her teasing personality. He does not like it particularly when Raquel uses his body as a puppet (since she is a stronger mage than he is), especially the tasks he has done for her (no details available).

ABILITIES
Javier is able to access the powers of a typical Arian mystic, which includes wind manipulation and the ability to communicate with spirits, both nature spirits and the souls of the departed. Healing arts and wind manipulation spells are his primary forte, but being able to communicate with spirits, Javier can call upon nature and the deceased to aid him in various ways.
