Me too! When I see an abandoned house I always wonder why it was abandoned and left to slowly fall apart.

It's not real common here in California, but you do see them every once in a while

You mainly see them here (Tennessee) in very rural areas. I figure that some are empty because the people moved to other areas to find work. There is very little work in rural Tennessee.

Makes sense . . . people pay so much for their houses here that you hardly ever see them get abandoned. Usually the banks get hold of them.
