Hi! I'm here with my entry for ( ) round 2!

Theme: Shapes

Ughh this one was tough. Really tough. Not because I didn't know what to draw...I actually have 6 or so (no joke this is 150% serious) different sketches ready for this round. I knew WHAT I wanted to do I just didn't know HOW to do it. Some of it was because of my skill level yes, but a lot of it was that I just kept thinking of other ideas I wanted to try more. I might one day go back to those sketches and finish them up; I mean they're still perfectly good sketches.

Well I picked this one! Kinda obvious why? Yes no? Well all of my ideas revolved around the idea that everything is made out of shapes and can be broken down to their very basic form. I wanted to make a more dolly looking human subject because it seemed the better choice. I wanted to put emphasis on the eyes and hair since they are the hardest to simplify. Well that and the eyes are like doors to the soul right? Something like that? Haha joke because she's a doll and missing an eye? Get it?

Now for the background uhu boy-
I wanted to add a lens flare design but the canvas felts empty so I scattered the red dots everywhere. I personally thought it made it look like the inside of your eyes when you're suddenly exposed to a huge flash of light. Directly behind the girl you'll see (I hope) a darker shadowy thing and a swirly poo. The shadow I feel is obvious but my intent for the swirly poo was to "dress up" the figure. A bit of nonsense to hopefully draw your attention to the focus nonsense.

Well yea that was fun let's see round 3 yay!
