What a beautiful artwork. I've yet to meet this boss. I love the composition and the lighting. And that floor, just wow. Such detailed reflections. Brilliantly done, a real masterpiece.

I love this artwork, I really enjoyed the boss and the story behind alonne and the iron king.
I also love the alonne sword because of the special attack (even tho it's only really good in one shot glass cannon builds) but yeah.
Β
Great work dude!

Best boss theme in the entire Dark Souls 2 ost? Well its certainly a contender for that title.
Another outstanding piece to a great gaming series. I hope to one day have this amount of talent.

i'd say his and the burnt ivory king's theme are the best in the game

Despite how average the vanilla version of Dark Souls 2 soundtrack was when compared it its predecessors, there are some standout pieces. Heck the theme for the Royal Rat Authority is like something out of my worst nightmare; completely devoid of any hope and feels like you're traversing the depths into the mind of a deranged psychopath.Β

This litterally beautiful. I have no word for this, this is truly expressing the feeling of the final fight of Sir Alonne, one of the most respectable character in my opinion.Β
You fight him with no damage Β took. He do the Seppuku and regain his honor after death.
I have something to told you. This is awesome, beautiful and epic. And thanks you for that awesome fanart.

You are truly welcome.Β
Every Dark Souls 2 DLC was awesome, i am certainly talking about Sir Alonne and Fume Knight Raime.
Raime? Because of his backstory, and honestly, have you looked at his armor? Its amazing!
Sir Alonne? Everything about him is good.

Yes and I fought him on New Game+ 5 my first time and the part leading up to him is near overwhelming without phantoms helping you.

Oh yeah, the first part is a pain if you are going solo, wouldn't be so tough if those white loyce knights did at least some decent amount of damage with their hits, hah.

Speaking of Loyce Knights...50 souls for their armor. That's just freakin' ridiculous.

I really like what you did with the floors.
Sir Alonne was definitely one of my favorite bosses, aesthetically and gameplay-wise. One wrong move, and that katana is going inside of you.

Might I ask how long it took you to create this?

ThemeFinland In reply to AmpDragon [2014-09-21 19:26:31 +0000 UTC]
2 days, I started yesterday and did the general sketch of the whole thing, did that for an hour or two. and today I added the details and such and that took me probably 5 hours of not very concentrated work (Lately I've had problems of fully concentrating in drawing, since I have a bad habit of losing my attention to youtube videos in the midst of drawing).

Oh yea, I got pretty frustrated at the gauntlet as well, since I think I died more to the mobs than to the boss itself. However you can run past all the enemies, but it's always a bit risky, since if you get hit by an arrow when you're walking on the grate you will quickly have 5 allone knights around you, eager to show you their glorious nippon steel. But that gauntlet was nothing compared to the mobs before smelter V.2, like holy crap.

you know, now that you mention it, allones and shivas armors have some similarities, like the colors and the multiple eye holes on the helm. Probably has something to do with them both having came from the east.
don't you mean shiva the deceased? huehuehue

ThemeFinland In reply to Zykedragon [2014-09-21 16:51:57 +0000 UTC]
haha, you'd think that allone as a man of honor would give you some handicap, for you know, being three times your size.
Have fun with DS1, that game was absolutely fantastic on my first playthrough of it.

Well I suppose both of them are kinda big, so there's that. But this guy is waaay harder than ornstein.
π: 0 β©: 1
Sanguine-Wolf In reply to ThemeFinland [2014-09-21 16:29:10 +0000 UTC]
Ornstein is a little bitch. Get between his legs and his spear's range is too long to hit you. I meant their armour colour was kind of the same too.
π: 0 β©: 1
ThemeFinland In reply to Sanguine-Wolf [2014-09-21 16:45:03 +0000 UTC]
totally, he was actually easier when he was bigger in DS1, as long as you were able to avoid being kebabed by his spear, although sir allone can do that as well. Allones armor isn't as golden as ornsteins is, its more brown than gold since his armor is like leather/cloth with some metal pieces here and there.
