This particular vehicle served with the X-N Umwindsdale Reaction Unit, a Rhodesian police reserve unit located in the northern suburbs of Salisbury (now Harare). It was in regular use by the unit from November 1979 until 1984. Although a police unit they wore military uniforms and took part in operations against anti-government rebels.
