I always wanted to do up a minicomic involving the Gaurdians confronting a being that they summoned to learn of the future.
He tell them of the Blackest of Nights in story riddle form.
"The Sea shall run Red with blood, Minds grow Hungry and Afraid, An Angel shall bring themselves to be a servant, Hope flees, compassion shies away to almost nothing. But Love and Truth shall see all through the coming Darkness."

The Readers get it. The Gaurdians are herpaderp. They might think themselves masters of everything and all powerful, but really, they are just there to pass out rings and be assholes.
