Description
The exact begining of the so called "Age of Marvels" is an often debated one. Some say that it began in the early 1940's with Captain America. Others say it was the 90's, with the rise of the X-Men. Others say that the exact origin is imposible to pintpoint, given that many of the "Marvels" had been operating long before recorded history.

Just as many, however, will contend that it truly began in 2010, when a team of four adventurers made a fateful space travel in order to investigate some cosmic anomaly.

This team was composed of Doctor Reed Richards, one of, if not THE, smartest man on earth (If a tad absent minded and oftentimes socially clueless), Gruff but good natured pilot Ben Grimm, team financer and assertive businesswoman Susan Storm and her teen brother and mechanic Johnny Storm (Who snuck up on the flight.) The idea was to observe the one-in-a-billion-years cosmic storm and collect some samples, but as it turned out, one of the engineers, a woman named Lucia Von Bardas, sabotaged the protective shields. The team didn't notice until it was too late, and they recieved the full brunt of the Cosmic Rays, before plumeting into some island back on Earth.

The team was thought to be death for about a week, until they resurfaced, changed forever. The Storm had gifted them with Fabulous new powers: Richards was now able to stretch and mold his body like Putty, Sue was now able to turn herself and others invisible thanks to some sort of force field powers, Johnny could ignite himself into a fiery form, now capable of controling fire and flying, and Ben was turned into a seemingly undestructable and amazingly strong rock gollem.

They would've been turned into outcasts like mutants, but thanks to some quick thinking by Reed and Sue, they instead turned their situation around and became heroes and celebrities. Now calling themselves "The Fantastic Four" they operate from the Baxter Building, looking for global threats to stop, whether it be Megalomaniacal super genius Victor Von Doom, the odd but Dangerous Moleman, The interdimensional Annihilus, the envious Wizard, world ending Galactus or the frustrating Imposible Man. All of this while also struggling with one another: Whether it be Reed's well meaning but often dangerous curiosity, Sue's struggles to balance being the team's PR as well as a wife and mother, Ben trying to cope with his unpleasant turn of fate and Johnny's newfound time in the spotlight... Well, he's more of a colective strugle.

Nevertheless, no matter the tide, the rain or the Multiversal threats, the world can always count on the Four to unite and tackle what may come. Adventurers, scientist, imagineers, superheroes, but mainly, a newfound family. After that Cosmic Storm they became the heralds of the "Age of Marvels".
