Description For years, I've had a bunch of ideas about how I'd do a Spider-man Cartoon. I know it'll never get made, but I still wanted to share the characters, looks and general idea. So here it is: Equal Parts "Scott Pilgrim", equal parts "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K" and equal parts "Spider-Man", it is "The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man".

-J. Jonah Jameson: The temperamental editor-in-chief of the famous Daily Bugle. A magnet of controversy from all sides of the political spectrum thanks to his very vocal views, he is nevertheless the sole reason why the Daily Bugle keeps selling, even in the digital age, thanks to a combination of said extreme views making him entertaining to even his detractors as well as his very strong integrity, keeping his paper honest. This seeming contradiction of traits can even be seen in his way of treating others, especially his employees. Sure, he's a temperamental loudmouth who will shout at full lung capacity even for the most minor subject matter (He has only become worse now that he has quit smoking), but he still stick his neck out for them, infamously standing behind after one Frederick Foswell was accused of having ties to the criminal underworld. Furthermore, he's very much the kind to reward a job well done. It is said that, if you prove your worth while under Jonah, you're pretty much employed for life.

Jonah's opinion on superheroes are legendarily low. It doesn't matter how well regarded they are. In his eyes, the Fantastic Four are showy circus freaks, the X-Men are vandals who use mutant rights as an excuse for wanton destruction, Iron Man is a rich prick with no regard for authority and the Hulk should just be ocked away. Only Captain America gets away scot free. Why does Jonah hate superheroes so much? Nobody knows for sure. Some say his first wife was killed by a masked man. Others claim it's because they take attention away from the "Real Heroes". Furthermore, some speculate that he's just jealous of their powers and public admiration. Either way, he would gladly just don't talk about them unles it's for a derogative aside or when pressured into it. It wans't until Spider-man showed up when he finally got a favourite target. At first he only used him as the latest target for his anti-superhero crusade, but after the wallcrawler began showing up constantly in his life as well as some controversial actions (Almost killing a man while wearing a black suit, for instance) He published his most damning piece: "Spider-man: Threat or Menace?" and an all out war began between the two. Jameson turned the once beloved rising hero into a public enemy, and no matter how many lives he saves, he'll never relent untill he sees him behind bars.

-Robbie Robertson: Likely the most patient person on Earth. Second in command on the Daily Bugle, Robbie is Jonah's long time (And maybe only) friend. For the longest time he has gone through hell and back reigning in Jonah's tirades and pointless editorializing, thus keeping the Bugle as objective as posible. He's also responsible for more public affairs, as while Jonah is the face of the Bugle, he lacks people's skills. This coupled with dealing with a recently released from juvie son has made Robbie a bit tiresome and weary.

Recently, he began to look after Peter Parker, a freelance photographer tasked with following Spider-man. The quiet but humorous boy's attitude served as a breath of fresh air for Robbie, and he recovered a bit of his old idealism. In turn, he began mentoring Peter, becoming a sort of father figure during his time at the Bugle. Furthermore, he convinced Peter to stay employed after he thought about quiting following Jonah's anti-Spidey crusade, collabing with Peter behind Jonah's back to show the world Spider-man's good deeds. His motivation for doing this are a bit blurry. He claims it's because he wants to show a more objective side of the webcrawler, but his actual motives may go a bit deeper...

-Betty Brant: The second most patient person on the planet, being Jonah's secretary. She was employed fresh out of High School, as she needed the money after her family's house burned down, and has been doing a downright heroic work since then. Not only does she keep schedule on all matters related to Jonah (Heart Medications, several anti-nicotine techniques, etc.), not only does she keep the efficiency of the Bugle running, not only does she do it under the most irascible man in New York, but she does it seemlessly, with no complain.Β

Still, Betty does wish for more. Having worked for the Bugle for years, she has taken an interest in journalism, and has been mentored by his co workers, who wish to repay her hard work by helping her achieve something greater. But for now, she's the all to important glue keeping the Daily Bugle going.

-Ned Leeds: Like Jonah, Ned is a mix of contradictions. On the one hand, he's a very shy individual. The kind of person who thinks speeking out against his boss to be downright mutiny. On the other, he's a very skilled reporter in his own right. In spite of his young age and quiet attitude, he has accurately covered stories most wouldn't tackle, having exposed quite a few major criminals, his first piece being the one that put Norman Osborn behind bars and gave him cred on the level of the Bugle's grittiest employee, Ben Urich.

He's also in charge of the Daily Bugle's website, a job nobody really wanted. Jonah in particular, sees internet journalism as a frivolous fad. Because of this, coupled with his shy demeanor, Ned is Jonah's favourite target for shouting. Regardless of his boss, Ned wouldn't trade his position for anything, as working for the Bugle allowed him to reunite with his old High School crush, Betty Brant, starting a close friendship with her that he hopes someday becomes something else...

-Glory Grant: Before working for the Bugle fulltime, Glory worked as a model. She was hired to become a spokeperson for the paper, but she was liked enough to be kept around and became Jonah's secretary. When the Bugle began to broadcast publicly and Jonah showed how terrible he was to speak to the public, Glory stepped in and in time, became the primary newscaster for the Daily Bugle, as well as a full reporter.

Her success served as inspiration for Betty, and since then Glory has taken her under her wing to one day break out of her secretary role and into journalism, just as she did. After all, Glory knows exactly what it's like to work under Jameson for years.

-Eddie Brock: The Bugle's star photojournalist. A dashing, confident young man, Eddie has snapped his way into success within the Bugle, being responsible for getting the most damning pieces of evidence on several key cases all the while not caring about the consequences with a smile on his face. Coupled with his marriage to a beautiful attourney and his own good looks, it seems nothing is wrong at all in the life of Eddie Brock.

Most recently, Brock became entangled with Peter Parker while trying to take pictures of Spider-man. Originally, he didn't want anything to do with the kid, seeing him as just getting in the way of his work. In time though, he took a liking to Peter, even getting him his first profesional camera, and started a sort of friendly competition over who got the best pictures. Still, itΒ΄s starting to get a bit annoying how, even when Peter is nowhere to be seen in the thick of the action, he delivers his pictures long before Eddie does...
