Wow, well said, but one of the worst problems is no drive wheels. The wheels would just slide around in the tracks.

Depends on the god.
Kali, Jehovah, both gods that are into a lot of slaughter and killing....

Well with no drive sprocket its probably not going to do much killing in the name of a god.

Dang! Right, the front and back top wheels need to have teeth on them!
Why couldn't you just say that?
I'm an artist, not an engineer!
Cool Video! Β

Yeah tanks on your world are probably not that mobile.

Or maybe they work on magnetic fields rather the sprockets...

Seems a bit to advanced to be practical but fair enough, I just prefer functional

Or make it drive like a tiger tank. Internal drive sprockets.

What? Is that the one with the other set of wheels behind the outer wheels?
Drive sprockets shielded by the outer dummy wheels?

No drive sprockets with dead or unused track it helps give a tank lower ground pressure per foot. Russians used it to make their tanks more mobile.

Well the dead tracks have the sprocket teeth inside the track www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKLtto⦠the T55 has a notable sag. Whole the M48's live tracks www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0aV4p⦠is fitted with roller wheels to keep the track tight. The disadvantages and advantages of both balance out when you think of the designers' needs. The M48 was meant to endure long defensive- offensive combat. The T55 was simple balls to the wall rapid offensive weaponry, and lots of it, hell training a T55 crew literally took hours vs an M48's months. The T55 exists today as a relative threat because its cheap to buy and there are a lot to buy! Literally people stopped counting how many were made after it hit 100,000 units. When drawing a tank you need to know what you want it to do. My own M10 Patton 4 was meant to fight off an offensive for days and when needed make long range warfare against both mobile and fixed positions. Sorry for the bad grammar.

Cool! Amazing videos!
What wheel is usually the drive wheel? in the front or in the back?
Or do most tanks have four drive wheels?
The battle cathedral is like the Sand crawler. Kinda slow but almost unstoppable. Β
Have you seen this shit? Pretty freaking amazing and cool, I think.

The drive sprocket is with the engine some apcs have the drive in the front.More radical russian designs have the in the rear or center. With tanks only 2 have then in the front israels merkava and the s tank.

ThePlanetRodinia In reply to thormemeson [2014-09-12 04:21:19 +0000 UTC]
So their mostly real wheel driven?
I think on Rodinia it would be good to have at least four drive sprockets.Β

So that means 2 engines and where does the fuel go? Plus the crew and the weapons?

If they are an anti-mutant cult, he'd probably join up and quickly become a champion. Otherwise, he'd probably have fun tearing it to pieces.

Ok, hold on, I don't think Mick could tear apart the battle cathedral!
It's heavily armed and armored and full of fanatic servants that are also heavily armed and armored.

ThePlanetRodinia In reply to mutantcomix [2014-09-11 08:00:27 +0000 UTC]
Dude! That would be bad ass!
One day the crew has to face a super powerful enemy.
The only way they can hope to win is to turn Mick into the War Bot he was designed to be.
1000 armor piercing rounds that can be fired from his forefingers.
Six missiles mounted on his back, (50 HP of damage in a 100 foot radius from impact.)
Stun rays emitted from his eyes, (only effect organic life forms.)
An electro magnetic pulse that only effects his foes?
Might be neat if the gang had a show down with the battle cathedral!

ThePlanetRodinia In reply to mutantcomix [2014-09-12 04:13:25 +0000 UTC]
Yes! We need to see Mick in full warbot mode!
It's cool that he looks like a skeleton, maybe he fleshes out when fully armed?
Wonder if he would get chocked up, I am a little.
Jed-"Never seen you in full battle mode before, buddy!"
The sight of Mick makes Jed tear up.
Mick-"I haven't had to kill on this level in over a hundred years!"Β
