Hello, I'm from ProjectComment

This is a certainly nice drawing you’ve done here, especially the dress. It looks great. I like how you’ve added in this paint splat trail all along the paper from one corner to the other, leading the viewer to follow it. Not only that, but it allows the viewer to start at her head and go up and down the dress- almost guiding them along.

The splatters on her dress kind of remind me of sparkles, and I like how you’ve added them here or there on the main gown. IT would have been nice to see some on the rest of her dress, the part that doesn’t have it, but I feel it might be due to the area being small or the dress originally didn’t have sparkles on it at all.

She doesn’t look to be standing straight from the waist down, but that could just be me. Her dressing could also be swaying. The other thing I would like to point out is that there’s no signature of who created this work. Be sure to put a signature or watermark (self-made not DA’s watermark) on the picture to show ownership. It also allows anyone going through google who picks it up, to automatically know who it is in case they’d want to give you a job.

This is an overall nice drawing. Even though it lacks shadows, I do very well like the shading and coloring in this. The mixed media works great here. Especially with her face and skin. I would have liked for the details on the bracelet to have popped out a bit more, but that’s just me. It looks fantastic.

Keep up the good work.

Hello, here commenting on behalf of

You seem to know how to use watercolors really well. The dress is really smooth without any noticeable patches and the shading is nice and crisp. It seems you tried to create a sparkle effect using grey and white, but it looks like the grey got dulled out when you scanned the image. Perhaps it would've been better to use a lighter grey instead, or even a lighter blue to match the dress. I also feel that the feathers and headband look too simplified and lacking in depth. Simple highlights using white or any light color would definitely give them more definition.

As for the skin, you used the values of the paint to create shade really well, it looks quite realistic. The woman, herself, is drawn really well too, but there are a couple of anatomical inaccuracies. The first is her arms not being the same length and her left arm being slanted makes the woman look like she's standing off kilter. Always pull away and examine your image to make sure that your character is standing straight and everything is symmetrical.  And last, her head is too small, which in turn makes her neck incredibly long. And that's about it with the anatomy.

The only other thing to improve on would be the background, but someone already pointed it out, so i won't go into detail about that.

I hope this comment is helpful to you, and keep drawing!

Hello there, I am here from: , and I am simply here to offer you any assistance I can regarding your artwork.
First of all, I find this piece to be very lovely, I especially love her dress. The shading is nice and simple, though, I feel there could be a bit more to it. There could also be some more highlights, especially in that gold chain she has around her neck, jewelry is very reflective, so I feel if you added some highlights to it; it would make it look more realistic. Also, I feel like there could be more to your background, the bright white is very distracting, and it pulls away from the main focus, which should be the woman. Maybe going in with a somewhat darker color for the background, then maybe bringing her out with some highlights? Just a thought, the background wouldn't have to be crazy either, just a simple wash of color would do. Other than that, this piece is beautiful! I hope you keep up the great work in what you do, and I hope to see more work from you in the future! Until we meet again!

Thanks for your critique! So right about the background. I don't know why I don't seem to plan/design them well. Like you said, I gotta work on that.

Aww, you are so welcome! And don't worry, backgrounds aren't really my strong point either...
