This is a cake I made for someone who is really into Apple Newtons. I did this cake a couple years ago and came across it today so I thought I would put it up here now that I have a place to post my stuff! It was chocolate cake with chocolate and white frosting with different colors added. The toughest part was the apple at the bottom which I had to pipe with each color separately and then smooth together with a knife because I don't have a cake sprayer at home. (The name on the cake was removed in Photoshop per request, hence the 'Happy Birthday' doesn't look centered.)Newton is owned by the Apple company.

cake decoration is most definitely an art, like anything else, and you seem to have mastered it. all of the details are perfect! if this cake had been made for me, I wouldn't even want to eat it because the details are all so perfect!

Thanks! I guess people that enjoyed owning a Newton get the full effect of the cake. (I hadn't heard about the Newton until I met the recipient of the cake...
