Description Here we have the Infinity Rooks. Now, their design and shield came from Megaman X enemies. I experimented with some sprites, sketched the enemy, put it all together, and bam! Infinity Rooks.

SCAN LOG

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Infinity Rook. Robotic soldiers designed by Doctor Guy to serve the Infinity Army. Infinity Rooks are equipped with an arm cannon and a protective shield. The spikes on the shield help them to keep any incoming attackers away.
STATS: HP 35/ATK 20/DEF 5
ATTACKS: Shield Tackle/Pulse Ray
ANALYSIS: Infinity Rooks attack either by ramming you with their shields or firing a high energy ray. Using aerial attacks is the best strategy against this enemy, for you will not be able to approach it, as long as it has its shield up. Also, their shields can block incoming projectiles, thus not causing any damage.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Elite Infinity Rook. Advanced Rooks engineered by Infinity Engineers. They were given high amounts of Darkron as part of their upgrade. They are alot more dangerous than ever now.
STATS: HP 45/ATK 40/DEF 5
ATTACKS: Shield Tackle/Pulse Ray/Darkron Beam
ANALYSIS: Their spikes will cause Anti-Flower if you get too close to it or get attacked by it. Their Darkron Beam will take a grave amount of damage on all characters. Piercing attacks will be your greatest weapon against them. Remember, they can still block projectiles, so find another means of attacking.

Rooks: ME
Design Idea: Megaman X (Capcom)

That is interesting. With thw Infinity Knights and Pawns, I wasn't expecting the Rooks to be mechanical. Impressive shield. Too bad it doesn't protect it from aerial attacks and underground attacks (are they flying enemies, by the way?).

Yes they are flying enemies

Well then what's with the shield if they're already immune to jump attacks?

When I say they fly, I meant like hover. like they are still at ground level.

Oh. So attacks like the POW Block or Murry's Earthquake can't harm it at all, but it's still weak to Murry's Dig. Is that right?

Actually now I made a change to their stats.

Now they can block incoming projectiles like rocks, gun shots, fireballs, lasers, etc.

I see. But I don't think it can help them against attacks that hit all enemies (like the powerful ack I told you about) or Murry's Dig.

So going on with the roles with the Infinity Soldiers, we got the Pawns (the weakest), the Rooks, the Bishops, the Knights, and the Infinity Queen being Saku. But going by reversed roles of the Kings and Queens (since 'checkmating' Saku will end the game chess) then there's still the 'queen piece' of this giant chess set (either the Infinity Commander you told us about or one of the Generals (maybe Vick)).

Either way, looking forward to the Infinity Bishops.

Interesting...not too often you see enemies protected from the front instead of the top. Good thing Dr. Guy didn't think to put those shoulder spikes at a slightly higher angle, or they'd make Bristles envious in their impregnability.

Their design is pretty darn cool; fitting, given their basis as Megaman X enemies. The Elite version really benefits from the color scheme seemingly inherent to all Elite Infinity enemies; the colors make it look very intimidating. Not sure what a high energy ray is, but it certainly sounds like they're no easier than any of Saku's other disgusting, maniacal minions.

Yep All that's left now is the Bishops and that's done and over with -w-

And no, there is no Infinity Queen or King....well...the Infinity Queen is Saku.

No King, huh? If you say so...

...heh. Yeah right.

if you count the Infinity Commanders as Infinity Kings then yeah

Oh. We were hinting at something else; suffice to say we have suspicions about someone in Saku's inner circle knowing more than they let on...

I was thinking that in a reversal of chess roles, the Infinity King would serve as the ultimate piece, the last line of defense before checkmate in favor of the invader by capture and de-brainwashing of Infinity Queen Saku?

Well I guess if anything, the Infinity Kings are Commanders.
