EDIT: Some backstory

Sachiko was not born a Dreamer, but her unusual compassion probably stood as a harbinger of what was to come. Delivered to an orphanage at a young age, she shrugged off the blows that her niceness invariably brought upon her and never lost heart. She continued to smile through bullying and food-snatching until she met and befriended Soran, and then no-one laid a finger on her again for the remainder of their time in the home. Now a young lady and a fully-matured Dreamer, Sachiko still retains her gentle kindness, although with the Nightmare threat looming only time will tell if it can bear her through the storms ahead.
