Not all the folks with wings act angelic. Also, flowy Japanese long sleeves are so fun to draw. :'D
Kind of promised myself to draw Jr Ootengu when I get, one, although I already did so before that here , and now I have two - I wanted to draw this second skin called Maturing Wings, hence also the title. X'D
Originally had this idea of Jr Ootengu flying high above ground in this bird view perspective and creating a tornado near a torii gate. But, somehow I hesitated with the background and it turned out I wanted it to be water than land in the end.
And Ootengu just appeared, as the corner needed some filling.

So then came this idea that there were boats, and well... catastrophe happened just because a reckless young tengu was practising his powers...
Though Ootengu was flying close by and noticed the sudden giant spout rising from the water and flew closer.

Meanwhile Seimei, on his ship noticed the spout's destruction and that it was closely heading towards them.
And he used a protection spell, to also make sure the people from the crashed boats and now swimming on the water or spinning in the tornado, to be safe and rescued by the shikigami... and later Jr Ootengu got scolded, and also helped in the rescue from the cirsis he himself had caused.

Such a story this apparently became. ^^ However I have a symbolic view to this as well. Reflecting the world situation once again. Like, Jr Ootengu watching the chaos before him is actually you, the viewer, as well as humanity as the collective. The spout/tornado is the chaos and threat we're facing more and more live each day: freedom and right restrictions, crashing of health by the harsh measures, economy going bankrupt... all this speaking of the totalitarian, fascism threat that is right in front of us when we open our eyes to it and look at the devil into the eye.
The people thrown out of their boats and the crushed ships are to show you, to some these threats have already become reality, and not to some, but to many, many people. The ship is there, moving forward to the new better age, as you can see from the light, and you have light to your path too just right behind you, however if you don't open your eyes to the truth and what's happening around the world, then the storm, destruction to whose creation you play a big part, is going to get you. And damage lots of what there still is left. The sun is the hope, the ship is heading there, but as you see, if nobody protects it, it might still survive somewhat but it's going to get severely damaged. Maybe this is also sort of symbol of human collective awakening to see the truth, finally, since Jr Ootengu is seeing the chaos and the situation right in front of him. He looks taken aback by all of that, as he couldn't guess this to be this huge. He thought less of his power. And now there it is in front of him. There's two options he, you can take:
either you acquiesce and ignore the storm and threat as much as possible, and let the chaos and destruction go on and gnaw away the wonderful things in life bit by bt.
Or
you fly down there, even if it was dangerous and asked courage, because you want to help those people and protect the ship too. Seimei's not going to be able to handle this all alone, he needs your help! The world needs your help, especially the children! The choice is yours! Choose wise! (Vote wise, Americans !)



And that aside, German Lawyer explains (in English) how the current c-restrictions aren't at all liable and are crimes against humanity on every level, and you will discover why this all is so strange and what is the true threat.
