I felt like drawing some really gay, geeky things that my friends and I ship.Elphaba/Galinda = Wicked
Rachel/Cassie = Animorphs
William/Aren = Betrayal in AntaraLOL nobody will know who they are, old Sierra RPGs FTW!<3
Max/Ryu = Hellbinders ALSO so-bad-it's-wonderful movies FTW!
Now I feel like making this my new background or something.

I know Rachel died, but ehhh. (Though yes I TOTALLY support Rachel/Tobias - I just enjoy this too. x3) I guess I just love the intensity of their relationship and how it changes, how Rachel starts out as being so incredibly protective of Cassie, and Cassie really kind of worships her as this warrior goddess in a weird way, and then everything just gets /fucked up/ by the war, and... I find it fascinating, that's all. x3

Oh, Hellbinders. x3 It's a movie with Ray Park (Moe and some other friends and I really like him; he was Toad in the first X-Men movie, and Darth Maul, he's just a really interesting, fun actor), about fighting demons and shit and it's SO BAD it's WONDERFUL, and lulzy and so full of gay. Like ridiculous amounts of implied gay.

They're rereleasing the series soon. Supposedly updating the pop references and such. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Been talk of it in the Animorphs group.

In the animorphs group there is talk of a group project where we rewrite the ending. Because the ending of the series was just wrong, all the characterizations were suddenly drastically different, and there were apparently several ghostwriters involved. I felt like Applegate came up on the end of her contract and suddenly had to end it and had no clue what she was doing. (backed up in part by her own author's notes)

I love many things about her writing, but I felt the way she handled the ending was sorely unprofessional. Kinda like the same thing JK Rowling's doing with Harry Potter.
At some point, they got too wrapped up in making the money and abstracting the story to focus on the artistic integrity to make it a solid piece of literature.
It's something I've been seeing a lot nowadays, with every kids who has a computer writing a story and getting self published thinking they're an artist.
I'm all for freedom of expression, but I find the lacking standards, and more importantly the arrogant and apathetic attitude towards standards seriously affecting the artistic integrity of our culture.
Our market is flooded with art institute graduates who think they're going to make the next Final Fantasy/start an American manga publisher, even though their school just took their money and trained them to be cookie cutter graphic designers. And they're just SO sure they're SO original, and talented, that they neglect their skill.

I think I have some weird, unholy attraction to how you draw girls with straight hair. IDK WHAT IT IS, IT MIGHT BE THE BANGS. And I love how Galinda totally hits Rachel out of the ballpark in the GIRLY GIRLY BLONDE category. When you have sparkly pink eyeshadow... not much tops you, even lovely shimmery blue eyeshadow. And I just really dig Elphie's face, I think it must be her eyebrow and ear. Allow me to bury myself in her hair.
